1st Day of Day Camp

Dropped Jansse off at camp this morning. It is just a day camp for this week, but boy is he excited. And, a little nervous. We didn't sign up with any friends, just signed him up because we think it is a great camp. It is a Christian camp, but not sponsored by our church, so he may not know many of the kids. I think that is always a bit uncomfortable.

The camp is just down the road from our house, so I drove him there. Many kids are coming from town on a bus, so we were there before them and Jansse was in for a few minutes of waiting - didn't make sense to drive him into town (25 minutes and lots of gas) when we could drive to the camp in about 10 minutes (with much less gas!).

While he was waiting there were some other boys who didn't take the bus, so he got right into a game with them.
I'm glad I got to see that, because it reassured me he would be just fine!

So, this will be a week of camp, and that is good!
