I'm working on my first ever 12 x 12 album using photos like this one.

Its taking longer than I expected, and today is my big day to get on with it.

Been a week of learning about parenting. Spent the last couple of weeks thinking I was the only one dealing with the disorganization of a 9 year old child. But God has revealed to me, through other parents, that this is not a unique situation.

The joy of this child is such a blessing. And the trials of trying to teach him are not unique. I'm so thankful for other mom's who have shared honestly their trials so that I would not feel so alone or overwhelmed by what turns out to be fairly normal developmental struggles.

Hope you are having a wonderful bit of Valentine preparation!

I see the joy. You only see joy like this when a child is happy and has a solid foundation filled with love and support. I have a feeling you are a stellar mom. Actually I know you are.

You are an amazing mom, just realizing the uniqueness of him and trying to understand that is a blessing to you and your child (and family)! As a mom with a child who definitely marches to her own drum beat, I have to summon up the patience of 20 moms sometimes, and I hold you in high regard for realizing his uniques and looking at things differently for him! Blessing to you!

So glad you are enjoying him as he is in this moment. Curious about your album, like a whole huge 12 x 12 album or just a page?

Happy Valentine's Day Susan Beth! That first photo is absolutely stunning. Love your photography. Sending hugs from another mom of a disorganized 9 year old.

Boy how I've missed your blog. Your photography is phenomenal. I was peeking at the one you took on the clay field trip...the one where you've been experimenting with indoor lighting and it looks great. I have been struggling with photography lately and even scrapbooking. My oldest just turned 10 and boy are we struggling with him. At times it seems like he's already a teenager...so moody and gloomy. It's getting to be quite frustrating since I'm naturally a pretty chipper and sunshiney person. Your tag/frame class is going to sell out. If I lived closer, I'd sign up. It's beautiful. I hope your day is wonderful, and no the "birthing" pic didn't gross me out. I thought it was amazing :)

You know we are dealing with our own disorganized 9 yr old at the moment :) It's always great to hear others' experiences because then I don't feel so alone. Beautiful photos!

I just started reading a book titled, Boundaries with Children last night (part of a group thing we are doing at church) and am finding it to be really helpful already! I don't know what you are facing but it's nice to know that we as parents can share our struggles and be better because of it. Thank you for your honesty Susan Beth!

Hugs,
Jen
