Randomness

I want to give a big shout out to Sharon Laakkonen at Prima for sending me this wonderful package of Prima product. I have developed a friendship with her through email over the past year, and after CHA she had stuff to give away. I am thrilled beyond belief to have these things. I love Prima products, but our lss doesn't carry all of it, so I'm often challenged to try to get some. These things will be such a treat to use! Thank you Sharon, you are a real sweetheart! The work on the tree house continues. Here's my happy husband up in the tree yesterday hanging a disc swing - we are hanging swings before we have a floor, but that's okay.

I've started to stress a little because the tree house seems a bit high to me. I expressed that to my husband, and he's thinking it over - he recognized that there is potential for death if someone falls out of the house. He may be able to lower it. We'll see what happens.

I was fussing around with my camera and manual focus lens, and got this pic of Leo, the tire eating dog. It's one of the best we've ever had of him, so I thought I would share.

By the way, he hasn't popped one of my tires since early May - although I'm always a bit nervous as I back out the driveway!

We've been getting huge thunderstorms, which brought a lightening strike to our telephone pole and a resulting malfunction in our line - got that repaired on Saturday. Also has brought four leaky windows to our attention, and ruined two walls of paint, so it looks like I'll be learning to do a little wallboard repair and then painting two rooms this fall. Good part is I get to pick some new colors. Bad part is painting takes so much time, something I often feel short on.

But, the storms have also brought views like this:

So I'll try not to complain about painting and phone repairs.

This weekend J bought himself some nerf guns with money he'd been saving - originally he was saving to buy a pet lizard, and I'm pretty happy with the nerf gun option instead. He loves these things. Plays with them, and talks out the imaginary battles for hours on end:

Sorry the second photo is so dark. But I couldn't resist showing that he plays in the most stunning sunsets!

Today we have company for lunch - a friend and her four children, and then I'm going down to Keepsakes By Design to kit for tomorrow nights class. It makes for a busy day, but not a bad one at all!

What a nice treat (Prima). I wish we could get a few beautiful sunsets in...these days it is right over as at dusk and it's raining like crazy and you can't see diddly!
Have fun kitting!

Great pictures. I love the one of your tire eating pooch. :) That Prima is very yummy! Sharon is a sweetie, I met her several years ago at a two peas crop.

Love prima, no LSS either. I've never seen any IRL except for what we get in our SC kits. Sorry about the painting, sounds like a pain to me. Gorgeous photos!
